cannot upgrade to Catalina

I have an iMac 21" - mid 2011 - latest version macOS High Sierra 10.13.6

I cannot upgrade tot Catalina. Can anybody tell me why not?

Catalina and Mojave require a 2012 or later iMac to suppport Metal graphics.
