Apple TV 1080p with 4K UHD LG TV up scaling

Hi there

i have a 1080p Apple TV but a 4K UHD TV. I wanted to know if the Apple TV allows content from Apple TV+ to be upscaled to 4K on the tv?

The Apple TV HD isn’t able to output at higher resolutions than 1080p. It is in the hardware itself; “allowing” plays no role here.

If you have the Apple TV app as a native smart app on a compatible LG TV, then that will allow 4K, including from Apple TV+.

For the best user experience, consider upgrading to an Apple TV 4K model.
