Is it possible to have two icloud accounts put photos in the same library?

My wife and I have separate icloud accounts, but everything is tied together with Family Sharing. I have paid for additional storage and when I take photos, they appear in the Photos app on our iMac, however, when my wife takes photos hers don't sync with the iMac. Is this possible to do? I've found older posts advising this is not possible, but those posts are years old and my hope is there has been a change that allows this.
