Why won’t my phone let me update to iOS 13 or 14?

Sorry, but that is not possible, as the iPhone 5C can not be updated beyond iOS 10.3.3.
My grandpa has my old Phone the 5C and it’s updated. It has all the features that IOS 13 is offering ( dark mode, photo editing, Memoji) I’d post a picture of it but I’m not with him currently

My guess is that it is actually an iPhone SE (first generation).
