Not updating catalina 10.15.7

If the screen shot provided is correct, the issue is that the drive does not have enough Empty Space. The update will require at least 20+ GB of free space before it will successfully install. See people say 40+ GB empty but I can not confirm that.

Sorry for the delay, I haven’t logged in since last night until just now.

Glad that P. Phillips suggestion worked out! Yup low storage will do that, you figure the update is about 6gb, but the installer needs a bit more room to breathe, I know when that space gets too low the disk can become unusable even. All the best!

Same here. Click “Update now”, Mac restarts, but nothing happens and the update remains to be done.
