I have an iMac (21.5-inch, Mid 2011) How can I update the system to macOS Catalina I have read online http://dosdude1.com/mojave Is it working properly or is there no benefit Is there a correct way to do this update

That Mac can only be upgraded to run macOS "High Sierra".
