Macbook pro 2012 will not connect via ethernet to router.

Hi I am trying to get my macbook pro 2012 to connect to me router via ethernet. The router shows it is connected at 1Gb/sec but when I then use the connections menu to establish internet connection it is showing as not connected. I am running OS 10.15.6

MacBook Pro 2012 issue with connecting to internet via ethernet to router.


Solved it by removing and then adding the thunderbolt ethernet in the network systems and then resetting DHCP.

How to do this?
