Messages are no longer showing up on my Macbook Air since getting IphoneSE

I used to be able to type messages on my Macbook and have them show up on my phone, and vice versa. I just changed from my old Iphone 6 to the new SE, and now they no longer sync. Both devices are connected to the same network via WIFI. How do I fix this?

iPhone SE, iOS 14

You may need to consider checking several of these 'continuity 'settings

..by re-setting them as needed ~ to be sure they're correct & functional..

• Use Continuity to connect your Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple Watch - Apple Support
