First make sure that you have enough space on iCloud to create a backup for your iPhone. Make sure that iCloud is also logged in on your iPhone.

Open Settings ➔ Apple ID (Your Name up top) ➔ iCloud ➔ iCloud Backup : Here you can tap on Backup Now.
