Can I safely delete relocated items?

Updated to Catalina weeks ago. All is good. Can I delete the "relocated items" folder or should I just let it sit there? If "Yes", for how long?

If there is something in that folder that you want to keep, move those files somewhere else.

If you don’t need or want any of the files in that folder, or if the folder is already empty, by all means trash it. It just sits there and it is not used by the system for anything-but, again: first make sure that there is nothing in that folder that you want to keep.
