Having difficulty in updating software on Apple Watch series3. I have followed all the advice re removing apps etc to increase capacity but the download still does not take place. What should I do next?

A lot of people, including me, have had this issue. There are two things you can try: restarting your Apple Watch or unpairing it.
If you choose to unpair your Apple Watch, make sure to set it up as a new Apple Watch when pairing it again.
unpair then pair. This will free up enough memory for the upgrade to work
Seems to have resolved the problem; download very slow though.
