Hello, I am trying to set up my sons new iPhone SE, he had an I phone a few years ago but can’t remember the passcode from the old device. Is there a way around that?

it asked him for his Apple ID which is his email and We knew the password. Then it asked for the passcode from the old device which we do not know. Says we can skip it and enter later but it won’t allow him to do anything without it
We finally figured it out. We removed his old phone from options in iCloud. No reason to keep that for us. Thanks
Are you trying to get into the old iPhone? If not you don't need that passcode. Or does he not remember the password to his Apple ID?
It should only be asking for the passcode from the old device if you opted for Quick Setup from the old device.
No we actually did set up from an Android had to use the app move from android.
Sorry app was move to ios
