My MacBook Air is missing so I locked it in the find my iPhone app, but I want to find out the serial number and model etc. How can I prove my ownership and the value of it? Thank you in advance.

My MacBook is missing and I locked it in the FindMy app, but need to know how I can get my serial number, value, model etc. I left it in my attorneys office and it walked away so he will reimburse me for it. Any idea how I can find out my exact model and cost? Thank you!

You can get the serial number and some of the model information by logging into https://support.apple.com/my-support

Try to sign in to appleid.apple.com, then look for your Mac in the Devices section. If you see your Mac there, click its name to see the model name and serial number.

Once you got the exact model name, you can look it up to google and search for its current market value.
