Missing Transitions in iMovie

I edited a video last night on iMovie. I got up this morning and IT failed. When I went back to check to make sure there were not corrupt files/clip, I notices all of the transitions I had had a red and yellow X. I delete them all and went back to add them and now the transitions screen is completely blank. How would I get then back? Help please! I need this done by 6!

Hi, Ryan527,

Disappearing transitions has been observed following the recent update to iMovie 10.1.15. It appears to be a glitch that Apple will need to solve.

You can try opening iMovie in your Mac's guest account and that has worked for some.

You can also try the following diagnostic procedures:

Deleting Preferences

Open iMovie while holding down the Option

and Command keys and select to delete preferences in the box that appears.

iMovie will open in a new library. Reopen your old library to get back to your

projects. See if the transitions appear.

Resetting the System Management Controller

Try resetting the System Management

Controller:

 Resetting the NVRAM or PRAM

Try resetting the NVRAM or PRAM,

although this issue would be fairly rare:
