ICloud storage

I own an iPhone 7 I have 7480 photos and 777 videos using 31.1GB of photo storage on iCloud.

My wife's iPhone 5s has 3357 photos and 539 videos using 43.3 GBgb of photo storage on iCloud.

Her phone keeps saying iCloud storage nearly full.

Could you please tell me why her phone is using more storage for less photos/videos.

On average Her videos or not much longer than mine.

Her phone show 18.7 GB used of 64 GB

Many thanks, Tony

The pics and Videos on iPhone 5s use an older file format resulting in More space used. iPhone 7 uses a more efficient file format that requires less space
