forgotten passcode

when i try to restore my ipad by holding down on home button and connecting to pc the itunes on ipad comes up but it dose not say, support.apple.com/ipad/restore . Any idea why or what to do?

cannot restore ipad as software is out of date I am locked out of my ipad as entered the incorrect passcode multiple times. I have tried to restore using itunes on my pc, but it says it cannot do it as the software needs updating on the ipad. I cannot update the software as I am locked out. Any ideas?

Why can't I restore my Ipad? I've followed ALL the instructions, after being locked out cos I couldn't remember my passcode. My laptop eventually gets to the 'extracting software for ipad' screen, and then says ipad can't be located/restored. Anything else I need to try?
