Deleting old account

I gave my brother my iPhone XR and got a new one with a new Apple ID/iCloud. But I can’t get into that old iCloud account to delete it so he can set up his.

If you forgot the Apple ID -- If you forgot your Apple ID - Apple Support and if you forgot the password -- If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support.
