iPhoto was dropped about 5 years ago by Apple and replaced with the Photos app
which comes as standard with the macs operating system. iPhoto continued to
work with OS's until Catalina, as Catalina does not run 32bit apps which you should
have known before upgrading.
You can import your iPhotos library to the Photos app.
Look for the Photos app icon in your Dock, or if it is not in the Dock it will also be in your
Applications folder.
Press and hold the option/ alt key down while opening Photos, you will see
a Choose Library dialogue, select your iPhoto library and press the button
Choose Library. Your iPhoto images will now be imported for use in the
Photos app.

Yes, you would think I'd know that, but I was instructed by someone else to do it, but with your help, the photos are being transferred to photos. Thanks! Tina
