How do I make one paragraph at a time appear on my slide. I have it working on "animate" but I want to control it myself, not have animate decide when to show next paragraph

  • Add a text box to the slide
  • type in the required text
  • press the return key on the keyboard at the end of each paragraph
  • Go to Inspector > Animate > Build In and click the Add an Effect button, try the appear effect first
  • In the Text Animation dropdown menu, select: by object
  • In the Delivery dropdown menu, select: by paragraph
  • Play the presentation, press the space bar to show each paragraph
