Frequent charging of Apple Watch 4 - brand new

Hello, I just got an Apple Watch not more than 30 days ago or so - I have to charge it almost everyday. This is very disappointing. Is this normal? My previous fitness watch only needed to be charged about once a week at the most. I almost want to return it but love some of the features.
