Wandering DeskTops: I have ten DeskTops on my MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019), running OS 10.15.6. DeskTop #1 is my Calendar, #2 is Finder, #3 is Mail, #4 & #5 are Safari, #6 is Music, #7 is Pages, #8 is Numbers, #9 is Kindle, #10 is Dictionary. I can't figure out how to keep these DeskTops in the order I put them. The OS seems to think it knows better than I the order they should be in. It is constantly rearranging them.

How can I keep them where I put them?

System Preferences > Mission Control, untick the box to "Automatically rearrange spaces based on most recent use."

Thank you for your speedy and correct response. I can't believe I've been unable to find this on my own. I've been putting up with this annoyance on my desktops and laptops for years, and finally decided to ask for help today--how embarrassing.
