I have a MacBook Pro (mid 2012) and am running High Sierra 10.13.6 operating system.
My computer tells me its up to date.
But there is a Mojave and a Catalina system out ... can I update to that, even though my laptop says it's up to date? And is there a downside to my updating, such as crashing my computer or havong some of my apps not work properly?
