I am trying to use my IMac (21.5 inch late 2015) as target display and it won't work. My keyboard is set up for the short cut.
I am trying to connect to it from my Macbook Air (12 inch early 2015) both computers are running on MacOS Catalina.
Connected using thunderbolt cable. Please help

In my experience, network screen sharing, regardless of the computer involved, is laggy and sometimes even low-res.
and only imacs between 2009 and 2014 support target display in any form
Thank you is there another way to use my IMAC as a display monitor?
there are ways to do it over wifi which would mean less stellar performance otherwise not that I know of
