Compress of folder returns "The operation couldn't be completed. Operation not permitted"

Any tips on resolving this? I've already confirmed that I have Read-Write access to the folder.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Similar questions

Couldn’t communicate with a helper application. Hi.. Working in Ventura and getting this message when trying to compress a folder. Does anyone have any ideas? Rebooted and still did the same thing. Help appreciated.

Unable to compress files or folders I have a folder I want to upload to google drive, but it won't compress and says "the operation couldn't be completed. Undefined error: 0." I've tried compressing both folders and files, and some of them have this message, while some of them work as intended. I attached a screenshot:

The way I got around this was doing it from the command line:

Command-<space bar>
Terminal
cd <to the folder just above the folder you want to compress
Type: zip -r <compress file name> <name of folder>
