Cannot uncheck songs in my library on my Macbook Pro

Cannot uncheck songs in my library. They are ALL checked. 2010 MacBook Pro. Have tried the "edit" button but either checking the wrong thing or....? Want to burn a CD (first time) and do not want to burn the entire library. THANK YOU very much.

Deleting Songs from the Apple Music library also deletes them for a playlist! HOW CAN I STOP THIS???? i know this has probably been asked 1000 times - but i still can't find an answer! on my iMac using Apple Music: if i add a song to a playlist WITHOUT adding it to my library - the song will stay in my playlist until i edit the playlist. perfect. works great. if i add a song to my library and then add that song to a playlist or two - but then i want to clean out the "library" and remove the song / delete the downloaded file - it also removes it from the playlist???? THAT IS STUPID! am i missing something? some setting? a secret hack? dumbest thing ever.

Cannot delete music from iMovie Music Library I recently created a sample project. I dragged a few songs from my iTunes library into the iMovie sound library. I wanted to delete a couple of songs. I right clicked, clicked on "reveal in finder," deleted the song. This was per instructions found here https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251652599. No luck, as the title to the song is still listed in the library. Dragging the song to the trash can does nothing, as does highlighting the song and hitting the delete key. I want to completely remove these songs. I do not want them showing up in the library at all. I'm using a Macbook Pro, M1X.

Karin,

To burn a CD, put the tracks you want to burn into a playlist, and burn from the playlist.
