Airpods fail to reconnect to iphone

My iPhone 11 Pro never remembers my Airpods Pro, forcing me to unpair and repair for every use. As soon as I put the airpods back in their charging case, the phone will no longer recognize a connection unless I unpair and repair. How can I fix this?

Hello,

Hmm, are you sure that they are losing the connection? When they are in the case with the cover closed, they won't show as connected. Then, when you put them back into your ears they should reconnect. Is this not happening?

See this for more detail:

If no help, you might try a full reset:

Good luck.
