Outdoor cycle on apple watch not recording distance.

Outdoor cycling not recording average speed and kilometers. After ending the process it shows GPS unavailable. I have tried everything from calibrating to reseting the apple watch also checked everything with the Location services but it does not help at all. I am using Apple watch series 4 with iPhone X.

Hello milind29,

We understand that the Outdoor Cycle workout isn't showing your distance, and we'd love to see how we can assist you.

Just to confirm are you going to the Activity app on your Apple Watch's paired iPhone > Workouts > Outdoor Cycle, to view the distance information for your workout? If so, we have a few other things we'd like to check and try to help narrow this down further.

Please complete the following steps:

  1. On the iPhone, please go to > Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services > Motion Calibration & Distance, and make sure that's enabled. More about that under the "Check your settings" part of this link: Calibrating your Apple Watch for improved Workout and Activity accuracy
  2. Please also go to the Apple Watch app on the iPhone > Privacy > Fitness Tracking, and make sure that's turned on as well. More about tracking workouts here: Track workouts and stay healthy with Apple Watch
  3. Review the Date & Time settings on the iPhone, and let us know if "Set Automatically" is enabled. This page explains how to check: How to get updated time zone information for your Apple device

Thank you!
