Question

iPhone 8 Plus back camera and flash not working.

My back camera and flash are not working. Nothing is blocking them they’ve just stopped working all together. I’ve tried re starting the phone and seeing if anything in settings can help but I’ve had no luck.

We understand your camera and flash on the back of your iPhone 8 Plus are not working as expected. We're happy to take a closer look at what is going on. To get us started, we'd recommend checking the following things.

Is the iPhone fully updated? Follow the steps here to backup and update if need be: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
When attempting to use the camera, is it not working in all apps, or just the Camera one? You can check in third-party apps such as Instagram or Facebook, etc. Or using an app like FaceTime.
When attempting to use the camera, what specifically happens? Is there any error, or just a blank screen in the viewfinder?

Let us know the answers to these questions, and we'll follow up from there.

im replying back to you as you replied about the back camera on the iPhone 8 Plus not working. I updated the phone in settings and there was no change. The camera is not working on other apps either eg;snapchat and Facebook.
