iPhone XS Max waterproof?

My phone fell in the pool, it worked for sometime before turning black. HELPPPP!!!

It is not waterproof, and will not survive immersion. The right think to do would have been to turn it off and let it dry out for a week. There’s a small chance it will work long enough to back it up to restore to the phone you buy to replace it.


Apple will replace it for a discounted price as an out-of-warranty repair. Here are details—>iPhone Repair - Official Apple Support. If you purchased AppleCare+ when you bought the phone the price will be $99 (scroll to Is your iPhone covered by AppleCare+?).
