Apple Music subscription
I have mp4 of original music downloaded into my iTunes library. Do I have to purchase a monthly subscription to Apple Music to access this original music from my devices?

If you don't have a subscription, you can still copy tracks to your devices by connecting the phone to the computer via USB and doing a sync. See instructions here:
