iPhone Photos Not Coming Up On My Mac

Why are my iPhone photos not coming up on my Mac even though they're connected?

I updated both softwares, I've followed all the steps Google has suggested, and yet it still doesn't connect. Why? This is so frustrating.

MacBook Pro OS Sierra 10.12.6 not seeing all photos on iPhone 11 15.2 on connecting my phone to my mac to import recent photos through 'photos', only a few recent photos are showing. 100's are not?

Photos not importing from iPhone to Mac I am attempting to import my photos from my iPhone to my Mac. When I plug the iPhone into the Mac, go to my photo library, select my device, check to open photos for this device, below it indicates that the are no photos to import but there are 2,000 on my iPhone. why doesn't my Mac find my photos on my iPhone?
