It’s a Sony Bluetooth speaker so there is no Bluetooth button however when I turn the power on there is an indicator light that flashes for a moment and then it comes on steady and it makes a little beeping sound to let me know that it’s ready however my phone cannot find it when I do a search for devices

You need to look up the instructions for your device and put it into pairing mode according to those instructions. You should also review the instructions to see if there's an option to reset it. Sometimes devices have a limit to the number of things they can be paired to and need to be reset before you can do it again.
