My mouse for Mac Pro light is not on, therefore I cannot function with computer. I changed batteries and put in two new everready AA batteries... still no light and no connection to Mac Pro. Do you have any suggestions.

Remove the new batteries and install them again.
As a remedy for possible corrosion on the battery contacts, roll the batteries over in the battery compartment, this slight scrubbing of their contacts may help remove the tiny corrosion that can sometimes interfere with normal operation.
Restart your Mac. if no joy, do an SMC Reset:

i can turn off and on computer but mouse is not moving
Did you connected the batteries properly? Make sure the connection are clean of any junk. If possible give another pair of batteries a try.
