If I change my Apple ID what is impacted

If you simple change the email address you use as your login ID for your AppleID there is no impact -> Change your Apple ID - Apple Support
If you create a new AppleID you will lose your entire purchase history and would need to repurchase all apps, music, iBooks etc again.
