my mouse is connected but does not move

My Magic Mouse has fresh batteries, is connected, but the cursor does not move. I have reset SMC and restarted. I am using a separate USB mouse to open System Preferences and type this request.

Hello!

It might be simple problem where macOS does not detect the mouse as properly working. Please try replugging the mouse. Try restarting if the solution does not work.

Have any questions? Reply with your Mac's Model name (ex. MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)) and your macOS version.
