Infected by a Malware Browser Hijacker

I need to use Chrome for running a webpage from work, lately I got pop up messages coming from a Malware (named Streamit) that was affecting all my browsing.

I removed Chrome and few other apps lately installed.

Can you advice about a reliable software or antivirus that I can install on my Mac to see if the malware is gone?
