When I connect to Apple TV I get a notice on the screen that says no signal. If I unplug the cables at the back of the box and replug and jiggle them ...it comes on. Is there a problem with the box?

When I connect to Apple TV I get a notice on the screen that says no signal. If I unplug the cables at the back of the box and replug and jiggle them ...it comes on. Is there a problem with the box?

The box usually is not the issue, what to check first is unplug all cable (power and the HDMI cable) wait a couple of minutes and then re-connect and test.
Other things to check are the inputs on your TV if that is correct.
Start with these things and if the problem persists, please let us know exactly what you did (be descriptive) and what the results.
Ok..I do the above every time..I unplug the power cable and re plug, I unplug the HDMI and replug, I unplug the Ethernet and replug. Nothing happens but if I jiggle the cables...usually the power one...it suddenly comes on and stays on.
That indicates a connection issue with the plug. Please look for another power plug and test that. If the replacement power plug has a problem then you likely have a plug issue with the Apple TV itself.
I tried another power plug and had the same result. Thanks though for the suggestion
