I am trying to instal my brother dip-7060d usb printer to my new Mac air Catalina 10.15.16 but cannot add the printer as the list is empty...I tried to reset it ,no success.....am I missing something? I tried to restart the system but that did not work either.
Thank you, I inserted the usb in the wrong port instead of the power port...it now works fine.

Thank you, I have resolved the issue with the printer...I used the wrong USB port instead of the charging port...it now works!
Go to the Brother support page to look for a Catalina-compatible driver https://support.brother.com/g/s/id/os/macintosh.html#cpd
If the scan-function doesn't work: try VueScan (free trial)
