How can I download MacOS Mountain Lion to USB stick ?

I erase the disk in Recovery mode. Now it does not boot up. Can I download MacOS into USB and restart it??

I have 2012 macbook pro retina version. Thanks

You could but it would be extremely slow.

The 2012 Macbook will restore Mountain Lion simply by doing an internet restore on a WPA2 secure WiFi, or hard wired via ethernet to a modem. command-option-shift-R on startup.
