New microsoft word for catalina version for macbookpro

I have old versions of word docs, 2007 to 2011, which I would like to bring over from my old computer. With the latest version of word, can I still open these docs? Will the formatting remain?

If you have a version of Word that runs on Catalina you can open and use documents from the earlier versions of Word. You can even open, read, edit and save earlier versions of Word with the free, open-source app LibreOffice or Apple's Pages app.
