I followed the instructions to designate the Photos Library, on an external drive, that I have been using as System Library but the "Use as System Folder" button is greyed. What can I do?

Possibly. How is that hard drive formatted and connected to your MBP? Is the drive always connected when you first launch Photos?
Thank you. But each time I open Photos I have to choose the library. Is that because it is in an external hard drive?
I try to have it. I will do that from now on.
Is there any other possible action I should take?
No, just make sure the drive is connected before launching Photos.
