Apple TV

I just got an Apple TV and have been trying to sign into my iCloud account since last night and everytime I try and login it tells me it’s unable to sign in. Everytime I try it sends a verification code to my phone but there is no where to enter the code. Has anyone had this issue before and if so how did you fix it?

iPhone 7, iOS 13
