I blocked someone by accident and our messages are green messages and that person does not have me blocked because we are texting back and forth. But it will not turn to blue messages. What should I do to solve this?

I figured this out by texting in a group chat with people who have iMessages and it solved the issue. It needs to know that the person has iMessage.
