mac mini does not find display

Very often I start my Mac mini and nothing happens....on the screen.

No image whatsoever ; I have to 'restart by pushing the start-button' and than mostly the display shows the apple logo.

Is there a way to set up my mac so this doesn't keeps happening ?

Mac mini, macOS 10.15

While I'm no expert, it wouldn't hurt to try doing a SMC reset and if that doesn't work, also doing a NVRAM reset.
