Activation Lock

I purchased an iPhone off of Letgo that was supposedly unlocked. But the phone has an activation lock on it. How can I remove this from my phone/

There is no known way to bypass activation lock without the assistance of the previous owner. I'm not sure if letgo has any buyer protection policy but you may want to check as the iPhone isn't usable.
