Install Mac OS

Have a 2008-9 MacBook Pro, have recently upgraded to an Air, have wiped the drive but cannot re-install MAC OS. Previously had El Capitan as the OS. Tried all offered alternatives to no avail.

Your computer came with two Software Restore DVDs. You need to use them to reinstall OS X. Alternatively, if you have the retail DVD for Snow Leopard, then you can use it.
