My iPad storage full I want to delete photos which is around 3,000 My iCloud Photo Library is on. I’ve read to turn off iCloud photo delete pic from iPad. But it says when I turn iCloud photo back on it will delete the photos Is this true. And why back up pics to iCloud photo If I can’t delete on my device and still have pics stored. Makes no sense

If you turn off iCloud Photos, your photos will be moved to the Deleted folder pending deletion/removal in 30 days. If you iPad storage is full, then follow this step instead of deleting your photos - Manage your iCloud storage - Apple Support.
