WHY DONT MY IPHONE PHOTOS SYNC TO MY MAC

My Iphone photos don't always sync to my Macbook - how can I fix this please?

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 13

Thanks for that. I really appreciate it - was coming to think it must be down to some limit. Also, I can have been online on my Mac for maybe an hour or more and still no sync. There must be something else though because there are earlier photos on my phone which haven't synced across .... finding it confusing and frustrating.

Hi...I'm embarrassed to admit but I don't know .... I guess iCloud, as it happens wirelessly. I deleted maybe 20 photos from my phone and eventually the sync happened. Is there maybe a limit on how many I can have on my phone in order for the sync to happen? I appreciate the reply.

There is no limit and photos should sync no matter how many were added or deleted. However there may be a delay between two separate systems like in your case as the photo app on the Mac has to be opened and the Mac has to be connected to WiFi before it will update any changes to the library from other devices.
