iPhone won't backup

iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPhone “KATELIN NICHOLSON’s iPhone”. Go to the Summary tab in iPhone preferences and click Restore to restore this iPhone to factory settings.

getting this message. I want to backup my old phone before i set up my new one.

iphone backup option not showing in iTunes I am in the process of moving an older iphone 5s to a new phone. I want to back it uo in tunes and restore to the new phone. When I plug it into my mac mini, it shoes up in iTunes ok. But when I right click on the iphone it only has "set up as new phone" or it lists an old back up to restore. Do I select "set up as a new phone" to be able to back it up ? I am afraid of wiping it if I do this. thanks

issues restoring new iphone from back up on itunes. I am not able to restore my iphone 13 pro through a back up I have saved in my itunes because it says "ios is out of date". however, I have booted the phone and updated it then restored it to factory and it still will not allow me to do it. any thoughts?

Try backing it up to iCloud.
