problems with music app in Catalina

Hi - I've just upgraded to Catalina, and I can't seem to add songs to playlists on the Mac Music app. I can add them via my iPhone, and they sync across perfectly. But if I add them on the Mac, the song appears in the playlist then immediately disappears!

Help please!

Apple Music on Macos not saving music in playlists after editing I have been experiencing an issue with Apple Music on MacOs whereby adding tracks to a playlist does not appear to save after the application is closed down. When the Music app is reopened the music tracks do not appear in any of the playlists I have just added them in. I have trawled Google for answers and there does not seem to be an immediate fix, in spite of the fact that other Mac users are experiencing the exact same issue. I am running MacOs Ventura on a 2021 14" M1 MacBook Pro with all the latest updates. For comparison, I have a 2012 iMac running MacOs Catalina that has zero problems saving tracks to playlists in the Music app. Any assistance on this would be greatly appreciated.

Playlists in new Music App - MacOS I have about seventy playlists which happily sync across my iPad and iPhone and until recently on my Mac. Since upgrading to Catalina, none of my playlists show. Even if I try to create a new playlist - I can search for a song, right click and "Add to Playlist" is not there. My Account shows that I am currently logged into Music. If I email myself a link to a playlist, it opens in a web browser but I cannot save it or move it to Music on my Mac.

How to add all Playlists in Music? I have created numerous Playlists in Music with macOS Catalina. However none appear in Music in new 2021 iMac using Monterey! How to fix? TIA c. However none are available or added now in Music in new iMax 2021 in Monterey! How to fix?

Make sure it is a regular playlist (note icon). If it is a smart playlist (gear icon) it will fill itself according to the rules.
